A Vision I'm dedicated to...Is anyone interested?

Posted on May 7th, 2008 by *Benjamin : Heartflow *Benjamin
I want to begin construction on a real integral community within the next 3-5 years....That means schools, healing centers, sustainable living, solar power, Arts & Music, Greenhouses, orchards, organic farming...I have it all plotted out...There just needs to be a lot of passionate, loving, conscious beings to make it happen...The plan is to buy a plot of farmland in Missouri and go from there..If you are interested, please let me know....Everyone brings some unique gift to the world, and if we unite we can create something beautiful for the benefit of everyone...We could help end slavery with this kind of thing...We could end poverty, we could end homelessness...Let's do it!!!!  Give me a holler if you are interested...seriously...

Hi, Benjamin - as you've seen on my blog - I have an image of an emerging spiritual community also.  A couple years ago I was involved in a group that was gathering to form an eco-village.  Unfortunately, for me, the discussions fell apart when the primary mover and shaker was completely closed about the idea of rituals being part of the community.

I'm still interested in the idea of sustainable shared living - co-housing is a model that appeals to me in many ways.  My present image though is folks coming together prayerfully and intuitively to birth a new model of spiritual community - one where the foundations of shared life rise out of the right brain flow.  Part of that for me is letting the community as a whole shape the direction, the rituals, and the purpose - rather than it being the brainchild of one person - like me.  I just want to keep raising the idea until there is enough of a nucleus of other interested people that it will move forward without me continually directing it.

This is challenging for me - given that I have training as a traditional protestant pastor - my inclination is to take a ball and run with it.  But I don't think that's the direction Source is nudging us to go.  Again and again, I have such a strong feeling that the age of gurus and hierarchical dierectors is done.  We all need to weave and connect with the web of interdependency.

The question is - what is the next right step?

More will be understood soon <s> -

bright blessings -

Sylvia
