Just got to say this...
In my short life on earth, I have run into an attitude about the situation of our planet that I find most disturbing. I am sure that a lot of you are familiar with the whole "Everything is God, Everything is spirit, Everything is alright underneath it all." This attitude seems to be a mantra nowadays, a way to cope or deal with the suffering of the world, almost a way to escape this reality. If you live in the world (and if you are reading this, you certainly do) then you know that the world is a crazy place and that it most definitely does not have to be like this. I have come to believe that it is actually is up to us, as conscious human beings on this planet to (re)create this world into a better, more loving planet to exist on. I feel everyone has a role in doing this. There are so many intelligent, aware, and gifted humans on this planet...I just don't see how we could possibly let the suffering that exists in this world continue. I am just as guilty as anyone for not acting enough, I know. I just think that there are so many unnecessary evils manifesting in the world and so much unneccessary suffering, and I know that as human beings and children of God we can turn earth into a place that makes a lot more sense, if not a paradise. I don't think that it is enough to spiritually evolve or become enlightened simply for one's own salvation. That comes from personal experience. Not to say I am enlightened, its just a feeling I have that seems to want to create a better future for the whole, a saner future. I know that there are a lot of people that feel the exact same way and just aren't sure what to do or how to do it. All I know is that it certainly takes courage.

I feel as you do about these things. It IS up to us to bring some sanity. AND love. You have to love people very personally, though, to make a big difference to them. It's a personal love that heals. So the general love thing that some people talk about is nice, and there must be a good place for it. But the fact is, if you want to love everyone, the first thing is to love someone, and someone, and someone. We love individuals. What God made IS individuals. We must love them as they are, if we can say that we love them at all. When I say as they are, I don't mean as the THINK they are, but really as God made them. God made tremendous beauty in humanity, not junk. So, IMHO, loving them should not be too hard. Again, love to you, Benjamin. I love what you're saying in these blogs. 100% agree. am
